I agree with this - but at the same time, I'll just reiterate that he's been doing this for 10 (or more) years. I'd like to see any blogger stay relevant and funny and keep coming up with new stuff for that long. it's pretty hard without doing any (or a lot) of actual reporting, as was his MO for a long time.

there may be people funnier than him now, but I don't think in the historical context there will be many considered to be better bloggers. kind of like the 5th season of The Family Guy being better than the 16th season of the Simpsons - that may be true, but it doesn't make Family Guy a better show, in the big picture.
