Default Re: Borgata Petition: \"Speed poker\"

Agreed.
They have probably the best structures in AC but i hate when somebody wastes 25% of a level on a decision. I fully understand there are difficult decisions in a poker tournament however it seems there is a lot of extra hollywooding going on. I know not all are online players as well but online you have 15-30 seconds and a time bank you can use when needed so having people act faster live i don't think would be too hard.

I also think they should have live "Turbo" NL tables like many online sites do. part of the thing i don't like about live NL is that people take a long time. I'm not trying to take anything away from reading another player but sometimes it seems like people agonize of the most trivial plays/hollywooding before folding.

On the other hand i don't think any casino would implement something like this. I don't remember what tournament it was i saw on TV, maybe a WPT event of some sort, but it was "Speed Poker" each player had 30 seconds to act on his turn or his hand was mucked.
