Default Re: Need help depositing...

[ QUOTE ]
I have a 200 dollar visa gift card that is non reloadable and have just attempted to load up full tilt. Full tilt declined it, as did poker stars, and i'm confused on what happenned. I posted in the other large visa thread, but I was wondering if anyone else could help me? I have not yet registered the card online/logged in to check the balance..should I? Many people say they deposited without registering/checking their balance online. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

I used a Visa Gift to Go card to deposit at PokerStars a couple months ago. When I tried it again later, they wouldn't take it.

I wrote to support@pokerstars.com, and they told me that Visa no longer allowed those cards to be used at gaming sites.

There are currently two ways I know of that US players can deposit at PokerStars:

1. The fast way. Send it Western Union, with a minimum deposit of $100.

2. The cheap way. Get an E-passporte account. Minimum deposit is $10, but it takes 2 weeks to set up the account and get your bank information verified.

Also, if you use E-passporte, keep some money in your E-passport account. Otherwise, you will have to wait another two weeks to reload the account.

There is evidently a new, third method. A week or two ago, I saw a notice on PokerStars about using "Instant E-checks." I didn't check it out, and I don't know whether it works for Americans. But that information should be available somewhere on the PokerStars site.
