I think you answered your own question, it's more PC to make fun of the bible than the koran.
Why would you get flamed for telling an athiest he's going to hell? I don't believe it hell, so it's basically like telling me I'm going to Candyland.
Edit: Also, the bible has almost certainly contributed to more deaths than the koran, if for no other reason than it's older.
