Default Anonymous National League Champion

Rumor has it that a new National League Champion has been crowned. The Eastern half of the United States won't know until tomorrow when the newspapers --including the Wilmington News Journal --- are able to include it with their other overnight news. While the Eastern half of the U.S. is able to watch the ALCS on over-the-air Fox TV, National League baseball fans who don't have the mediocre cable TV--TBS, who have to go to work daytimes, and virtually all young people who will provide future baseball customers and/or players ---- were out of luck to catch the remarkable run of the Colorado Rockies who surged to the NL Championship without a single loss, only the 2nd team to ever do so. And they had to do it in the rain and snow of mid-October Rockie Mountains.

Small wonder that MLB has to import players from foreign countries who can't speak English to fill their rosters these days. Young Americans can readily see football games, golf and other sports on major network local TV stations at times when they are awake. Thank Commissioner dum-dum Selig and the greedy baseball owners for the continued deterioration of MLB. The World Series will probably be transmitted only on the internet.
