The Brothers Karamozov, Doetoeskvy <sp?>

Don't let the length fool you, and this book itsn't as hard to understand as other great 'classics' (Crime and Punishment, Dubliners, etc.). It's a surprisingly readable, provocative, and deep story that reveals in complete clarity the various heights and depths of human emotion.

I've never met ANYONE who's read this book and did not consider it one of their all-time favorites </reading rainbow>

[/ QUOTE ]I'll be starting this book soon and I'm sure I'll agree.

War and Peace needs to be on this list. It's really amazing.
