Default Re: NL200 - Over pair; turn paired the board

What's about a 89s? Doesnt it make sense?

It's passible, as well as A8s I guess, but he's calling an UTG raise from MP so none of them are likely and they are only 2 combos each.

I think this a flopped set, a draw or a low PP turned into a bluff. A set/2-pair should be raised on the flop 100% and a draw will also get raised quite often. If villain's good I'd push. If villain's good he's:
1. Less likely to have 8x.
2. Less likely to slowplay set/2-pair.
3. More likely to float the flop with a draw and realise your calling range on the turn is slim.

Edit: This is a push or fold situation.
