Default Re: My throughts of Phil Gordans DVD and Little green book.

He also said that in the end that this book wasn't suppossed to be a math book, but I really think that he had to make some EV calculations to proof that some of the play he made was correct. I generally agree with the way he plays, but he doesn't argue a lot why that is the best way to play.

My impression of the book was that Gordon mentions early in the book he is specifically letting the reader know how he plays. I'm not sure it was meant to be a book on how best to play, so there was no need for him to argue his point.

I believe he mentions he is not the best player, but he is a winning player and this is how he plays for the most part. He says if you disagree with what he says, that is good. LGB was not intended to be a definitive guide on the game. He wrote the book to allow readers to see how a winning professional plays.
