Finally, against a young Russian guy, for the third or fourth time of the session he limp/called a preflop raise of mine. I had AJ non-hearts and we took the flop HU. The flop came ace high with 2 low hearts (I had no heart). As he had done before he check/called the flop and the turn brought a heart. We both checked and the river put out a 4th heart. He led 35 and with a read of what I thought to be a great bluffing spot for him even though I had top pair and could beat a "bluff", yet would fold to a re-raise I made it 80 to go and he folded gaining me nothing .

Actually the main reason I did it was because 2 pair or even trips or straight hands that I would fold out with a raise were in his range by the river. A bluff would also be holding any type of low heart that would also likely fold to a raise. I'm tired as all hell but essentially I was pretty confident he wouldnt call any type of raise without the Q or J of hearts and I was too likely to take down this specific pot without a showdown to not raise the river against this player with a hand that *could* still be vulnerable. Its possible that a call may have been better, I thought at the time I was maximizing my equity against his range and giving myself the best chance to win the pot. I might be mistaken.

Also, fwiw its always the nuts when he reraises me in this spot and we were sitting 300+ deep to start the hand so I cant ever lose the rest of my stack but still give myself a good chance to win the pot with a raise.
