Default Trip Report: Foxwoods part Deuce

Wasn't sure if it was a better idea to post a trip report here or make a new thread. Since most people probably wouldnt read it if it was in the other thread, I just started a new one.

Anyways, Mike and I headed up at around 7:45. So we have this thing now where we listen to classical music when we are on the way in. We did it the first time, and it obviously is the reason we keep having good results. So of course I'll stick w/it (until anything changes).

We get there at 8:30 or so, and the place is pretty lively. Only have to wait 20 minutes to get a seat. The first note of the night is watching a huge 200NL pot. The action goes where there is a raise to 45 or so PF, and one guy calls. Flop is 7 9 2, rainbow. Another 200 or 300 goes on here, and they seen the turn. Its a 5. Both players are going back and forth, and eventually theres like a 1K pot or something. The river is a 6, and the original raiser flips over QQ. I have no idea what other guy has, but all I see is this idiot who starts pumping his fist exclaiming "Yes yes yes!" over and over. All I can think about is Kevin from Home alone. He tables 72. I look at him flip over 72 for two pair. What a donk! This is going to be a fun night.

We don't get a table together, but we did end up at the same table later on. Anyways, my luck continues. 5 hands in, I raise QQ up to 16. 4 callers. I hit top set and end up taking down a 200 dollar pot. Not a lot of significant hands here. Some woman rebuys 6 times, each time for 100 dollars in a matter of 1 hour. I don't understand why she doesn't just buy in for 300. She went to showdown 4 times of the 50 hands she played. So terrible. Im up 150, and decided to see how Mike was doing.

As luck has it, the table in the back he is sitting at has a couple empty seats. The guy sitting next to Mike jokes that if I sit down and throw the dealer a redbird, he will let me play. He kept egging me on, so of course I do. The dealer sais "What is this?". I get up after this joke, and ask to be transferred to the table. In all honesty, he is the best dealer we have played with thus far (not saying a whole lot though). Hes great. One noob asks the dealer "Do you play poker?" , to which the dealer replies "Does a bear [censored] in the woods?".

I'm seated two seats to right of Mike. I notice he has a little under two hundred, and I ask him why he hasn't doubled up yet?? Card dead obviously.

First hand, I look down at QQ again. 7 limpers, I'm last to act. I bump it up to 16 or so. 3 callers. I flop another set with my Queens. A Q 9, two diamonds. I make it 30. One fold. He min-raises instantly. As he is raising, he sais "We'll see who's bluffing."

At this point, all I can think about is Pudge's advice. Bet more Diamond Lie, nobody ever folds live. I decided to put my opponent on a decision for all his chips, since he is table captain. Note: (this is the same guy who loses a pot all in PF AK vs AT for 400 bucks last hand). He tanks for two minutes, and folds like a little girl. Maybe I should have smooth called, because I knew he had an ace. This is debatable. I figured he was on tilt and I could get him to call. Later on in the night, this guy makes the statement "Any ace is good", in regards to what he plays. Wow.

First hand I see Mike play is against the suited connectors man. He tells us that he plays them exclusively. He said he is willing to make any raise with them, because when he hits hard he is getting payed off. One hand vs. me he showed down 32 suited for bottom pair (he raised it to 12 UTG). Suited connectors man puts in his usual raise, which means any two suited cards. Mike raises it up to 40 from cutoff. The guy thinks for a good minute and calls, w/ 60 dollars left in his stack. Flop is QT5 (mike has J8o). Suited connectors checks, his eyes never leaving the flop. Mike notices his opponent is weak, and pushes in for 300. The hilarity that ensues is when Mike doesn't realize there is a third person in this hand. He has Mike covered. Lucky for Mike both guys folded. Expert bet obviously. They put him on AQ hahaha

Another hand I decided to try to bluff a calling station with bottom pair. I raised it to 24 into a pot of 7 limpers with air PF. Only guy who calls is the guy on tilt. I forgot initially that this is the guy who flipped over 99 on a QJ5 board when his opponent went all in for 200. Needless to say, the bluff did not work and I lost a good amount here. Stupid on my part.

Other significant hand is where Mike raises it to 7 on the button w/KdKc, since it is folded around. Suited connectors man calls his raise. Flop is 8s 7c 5c. Pot is only 16. Villain bets out for 5. Mike makes it 25 to go, and villain calls without any hesitation. Turn is the 7s). Checked to Mike, who makes it 50. Of course he is chasing, so he calls. River is Jd. Suited Connectors checks, w/ Mike checking behind. Busted draw no goot!

So after 4 1/2 or 5 hours of poker, we got raked for 50. I am up 260, Mike up 220. Mike probably had 6 drinks, I had a couple Long Island Iced teas. We parked in a weird area. Walked around for 45 minutes trying to find the right exit. Yeah, that was pretty embarassing haha.

One other highlight. About 6 bangin' girls rushing through the hallway on the way out. All of them wearing skirts that didn't cover half their asses. Mike said they were 16, but they were definetly 18/19 at least. Sooo hot, want to touch the hiney. GG Life.

More luck on sunday, hopefully.
