Which accomplished what, may I ask? Why don't we just eliminate the playoffs in the NFL, just put the 2 teams with the best record in the Super Bowl...Because, you know, every team with the best record at the end of the regular season ALWAYS wins the super bowl......

one cut-off is as arbitrary as the other
