Saying Tomlinson is the best player is ridiculous. His first season as coordinator was Tomlinson's first good season. It was Brees' first as a starter. Does he get no credit for developing Gates, Brees, the offensive line?

Being a good college head coach seems to be a pretty bad indicator or your NFL success, also.
