Ya, it's true he acts like a prick a lot of the time.. but can you really argue with success?
He has more NLHE bracelets than anyone in history. Isn't that a sufficient way of keeping score?
As far as his comments about crushing side games, that's a bit harder to validate. I've heard numerous comments to the contrary.
