If everyone thinks his raise is too big, then how would a b/3b line allow for all the money to go in on flop? Say he donks for $12 and his opponent raises to the 'recommended' $38 or what have you. Now he jams for ~$150?
I think your line is fine and reaction would be different if you hit a Q/A/diamond somewhere in the hand. A good spot too gamble.
A b/3b is perfectly fine as well. I just don't agree with all who rag on a c/r here with these stacks. Getting the money in on this flop is fine no matter how it goes in. And personally, with you choosing the c/r line, I like your bet sizing WAY more then a smaller bet.
