Dark blood COULD mean you have a ruptured ulcer or something equally awful in your stomach lining which could kill you.

Blackish looking stools isn't dark blood either, dark blood will be globs of blackish red stuff. Haha, reminds me of the stuff I coughed up out of my sinuses a week after breaking my face.
