Not at all. If you play a bunch that start around the same time your rate can be kept high even if your ROI suffers because it's more likely you'll go deep in one of them, if less likely you will do well in any individual one, because you aren't paying as close attention or what have you.
My hourly rate is quite good and I've only made the smallest peeps in the major Sunday tournaments. I imagine the hourly rates of players who multitable even more (and have bigger scores than I do) is even higher.
