I don't really need to defend myself from your slightly insulting comments, but no amount of re-evaluation is going to change the fact that priorities look precisely like this:

1) Kids

It's emotionally undeniable; I would trade my life for theirs without hesitation. And scientifically, this all makes perfect sense. The only reason humans, or any species for that matter, exist is for the purpose of spreading their genetic material and increasing the fitness and survivability of their offspring. Millions of years of evolution have ratcheted up these instincts. I recognize this and acquiesce to it.
