Roulette is not stupid. It is a game in which the house has a mathematical edge. In such games, as Sklansky has written, in order to overcome the edge which grinds you down over time you should make one bet. Bet whatever you are going to bet over a session in one bet. Better still do not play roulette. Roulette is very seductive as it gives rise to system play and humans are also fascinated by numbers.
Roulette story: I am playing roulette online with PLAY MONEY, and am given 1000 units. I turn these into 4400 then I start to play the number seventeen. I get to my last 400 and forget to place my bet but spin the wheel, not to worry I tell myself what is the likelihood of seventeen coming up? Seventeen comes up. I am so astonished I spin the wheel again without placing a bet but I am not worried as I tell myself what is the likelihood of a seventeen coming up a second time? Seventeen comes up.
