The joke is that when he talks about the power of "kings and queens" we at first assume he is discussing royalty... but then it turns out he is really talking about starting in hands in the popular poker game Texas Hold Em!

EDIT: Although maybe the brilliance of Konrad is that it is open to so many interpretations.
