I don't think your turn check is terrible, but I do prefer betting again. If I have something like AJ with the J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I'll check the turn quite a bit. If I had an ace with no diamond I would likely bet the turn, but I'd probably fold to a raise. The one reason why I don't think a turn check is bad is because I would peel the flop with some big diamonds and bet the turn here when checked to, but fold to a bet in most cases. I think generally a turn c/r is going to let me off the hook with a lot of Ax hands, or perhaps even a smaller flush, but I'm almost definitely calling down with those hands if not shoving.
