also i know alot of people around town in every type job. from police to bartenders to dealers to construction......the list goes on!!!
also f.y.i. this town is in dier need of teachers and nurses!! poker dealers....not so much. but you can prolly find something if your persistant!!
also i dont know anyone who moved here who jot their "dream job" right of the bat, it usually takes a year or two of networking (and by networking i mean drinkin and shaking the hands of well....whoever)
but you will find something to pay the rent in the mean time, and one of these days you'll land something sweet!!
like myself for example, moved here in 2001. worked as a plumber and did contruction at 14-16 bucks an hour (struggling) then in 2003 i met a guy who knew a guy who worked at a casino. (a REALLY REALLY BIG GREEN ONE) and i landed a job making $33.55 an hour, 40 hours a week!!! life is good now. it just takes time.....good luck bro! see ya at the tables
