While Gibson's and Morris' #1 career highlights were with other teams, they were both VERY established stars before they left the Tigers. Gibson's last good year, in fact, was his first year away from Detroit -- his MVP 1988 season with L.A.

Trammell came nowhere close to gaining fame as a manager. In his three years as the Detroit skipper, they went 186-300. As a player, however, he was a borderline Hall of Famer.
