Not that it would've changed the outcome or anything, but I may have check/called the flop just in case his preflop 3-bet was with a high-type hand, or an AAXY hand. Not only would you be a clear favorite, but, by checking, he's probably going to bet it once to see how you react, opposed to leading out, where you give him the chance to get away from it. But, your approach was totally fine.

I also think you did pretty good on the river (I may have had to restrain myself from not betting, but maybe my line is a little too high variance?). He has to have a near perfect hand to scoop you, and considering that it was the Ace of spades that hit, I would think your chances to at least get half were pretty good. 'Just curious as to what hand you put him on that caused you to check the river.
