Yep. I've told the story before, but my regular .50/1.00 NL game got held up. They got about 700 dollars. The worst part about that is that the host decided to quit hosting and the game died. Just to point out that it can happen anywhere, pretty much to anyone.
That robbery also killed a "league" style tourney I played in from time to time, which drew from pretty much the same player pool. The host of the league cut the season short, held the championship tourney, and stopped hosting games as well.
