Lots of myths around it I guess. I've drank it many times and I've never seen any hallucinations. The levels of tujon (SP?) in today's absinthe is really low.
But it's guaranteed to get you shitfaced. I mean it's 70%+ so it's like two shots in one, do them fast and you might ruin your life a little every time you drink it like I do.
