After the AP scandal I was wondering if most poker sites had a policy in place to prevent employees from playing there or not.

A. No. Any PokerStars employee or contractor who has access to inside information (player records, hidden card hand histories, etc.) may not play on PokerStars. This is to prevent any possible abuse of that inside information. In fact, the immediate relatives of such people may not play on PokerStars.
