Unless there is some kind of emergency and the dealer needs to get out of the box this is absolutely unacceptable.
I have seen this maybe 5 or six times in 15 years of playing .
A few times the dealer was ill (this is ok), once the dealers kid was hurt at school and TWICE casino security was there and escorted the dealer out of the room.
OH damn off topic but this is damn funny.
About 7 months ago I was in a 30/60 game. Got heads up with a scruffy dude. On the turn METRO, 4 of them, (Las Vegas police) walk up behind the guy I am heads up with. River played. Scruffy guy folds, Metro grabs the guy, cuffs him and halls him off. Word comes back he was wanted for passing bad checks. THAT IS A DOUBLE BEAT FOR THE GUY.
