while I dont know much about it, I do own a portable dvd player of a different, cheaper brand. in general you shouldnt expect too much from it, however it'll give you a decent picture and relatively good battery life (the toshiba is rated at 5 hrs). they are pretty solid for car rides and things like that, so in general id say sure, get it. as far as getting over charged for your fpps, well, you already know pstars is killing u on that
