Default Re: What\'s for Thanksgiving EDF? (planning & trip reports)

EDF Chefs:

I have a couple of favorite desserts that I enjoy making. One is a standard cheesecake, and the other is a key lime pie. I am considering combining them this year, but I don't want to make a single recipe of each and just mix them together, as that will just be too much. I'm looking for suggestions on how to alter one/both so I can just fold the key lime filling into the cheesecake batter.

Cheesecake:
3 - 8 oz packages cream cheese
1.25 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 pint sour cream
1 cup whipping cream

KLP:
3 egg yolks
1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
2/3 cup lime juice

---

Eyeballing the total volume, my inclination is to leave the KLP recipe as is, and reduce the sugar in the cheesecake recipe to .5 cup, remove 2 eggs and all of the sour cream.

What do y'all think?
