This has to be incorrect. If you think about it, if you said no and mucked...where would the pot go? It can only go to you. Everyone else forfeited their chance at a showdown and at the pot.

No, the house could not do that anymore than they could reach in your pocket and steal $500 just 'cause they felt like it. That's completely illogical. Our guy who mucked last still had cards and had put a bet out that didn't get called. His only remaining opponent mucked. He's now free to muck his hand. NO WAY someone who tossed his cards long prior wins anything.
