Just to be nitty, if you have a 19" CRT that will even DO 1600x1200, it's not a "Bad quality" monitor. You actually have a pretty high-quality monitor that you're driving a lot higher than you should. It's going to look crappy, but most average 19" tubes won't do 1600x1200 at all.
