Default Re: session pairings

Snow - I am experimenting with a new concept with a student of mine, I introduced him to a very solid player at his level (4/8) to take notes of each others play and hand ranges during the live session. There is no discussion of hands until after the session is complete when all three of us sit down to take about hand ranges. We have only done this twice so far, but its been an eye opener for the main student since he is getting the same advice from two sources and for the partner he gets the added value of increasing his hand reading abilities.

So far its been successful, and the best thing about this concept is you don't need someone who is at an equal level of play. In fact if you partner with someone whose hand range is unorthodox at times because they are still learning its even better because the hand ranges become harder to determine.
