getting $ in when you are better is not good theory?

I see you are into math so lets do this example
You are on the river
You know your opponenet can have 3 hands. 1, 2 and 3. The 3 hands are equally likely
You beat hands 1 and 2 and loose to hand 3
The pot is 0 bets.
If you bet he will raise hands 2 and 3. Since you will get 3:1 on your call you have to b/c. He will fold hand 1
If you check he will bet all 3 hands.
EV of c/c = 1/3 + 1/3 - 1/3 = 1/3
EV of b/c = 2/3 - 2/3 = 0
So no, "getting $ in when you are better" is not a good theory. You have to consider what he does with the various hands in his range.
Getting back to your hand. Since he will bet his entire range betting does you no good.
When he raises you will either put in 1 more bet as a dog or you will fold your hand in a big pot at a point where it still might be good.
Your line of complete/raise/call PF and then donk/fold flop is God awful against this kind of player and against 90% of all online players when you consider it is a BvB spot.
You are thinking about LHE and prolly poker the wrong way.
