Default Re: BBJ & Rickroll

BBJ refers to a Bad Beat Jackpot. Some online sites and live casinos offer a prize if a big hand is beaten by another big hand. Everyone at the table receives something, with the largest share going to the player who lost. The minimum qualifying hand may be aces full of kings, or quad 2s, or quad 8s. There are usually restrictions that both hole cards need to be used, and usually there is extra rake taken to pay for the progressive jackpot. BBJ tables therefore have a higher rake, but may attract more fish who play passively with potential jackpot hands.

A rickroll is a trick where someone pretends to link to a useful site, but instead links to the same old Rick Astley music video again. In general, don't do it. It has been overdone.
