The second insult was simply unnecessary because everyone can see the thing for what it is. I'm going to let the first rejoinder stand because it balances the entirely inappropriate comment quoted. Fair is fair.
I see my alternatives here as
(1) locking this thread,
(2) deleting the entire thread,

(4) other.
