Thread takes a turn for the serious.

There's nothing wrong or unamerican about religion in politics. People have a right to vote for those that they feel represent their interests; whether their interests are actually represented is a different can of worms. If the heathens of the country would actually vote then this would not be an issue.

Come to think of it, voting is very unamerican, practically speaking.
