Default $15 - Final 3, hit straight, optimal way to play it?

Villain was probably the best player at final table (besides me of course) and was running at 24/14/2 over about 100 hands, with the majority of them being around 6 handed or less.
Just before this hand we talked about possibility of a deal and the other guy had just emailed support, so this may affect the hand.
I'd been 3betting preflop more than anybody else at the table, and didn't really want to 3bet/fold this preflop, but folding seemed way weak with two face cards so I just called. Obviously turn gin but river is awful.
Basically, any other way to play this?
