i have a friend that is sick at this. basically what you want to do is move the back foot and the front foot to where it propels you forward.

I can go uphill now and wave back and forth downhill so I don't go too fast. I'll be fine just riding it. At 39 I don't think I'm going to make it in the X-games circuit or anything.
