when you're faced with having to break a 97653, you are better off folding. the problem with drawing is that by breaking a nine you are assuming your opponent has a 8 or better. if you catch an 8 yourself, you will make the worst possible 8 and lose anyways. the only card you are hoping for is a 2, which you are not getting odds for especially when your opponents are holding on them.
