No, I meant a real computer store. FWIW, I bought mine at Staples, but I seriously shopped around and got a great deal (clearance item, they were dumping a ton of systems seasonally).


I bought one of the first E-machines, like 10 years ago (?), before everyone knew they were garbage.

Is he buying a desktop or a laptop? I thought a desktop.

I got a reasonable HP laptop this summer for $600. It's not kick-ass or anything, but it's strictly a secondary computer that's mostly used on the road so it doesn't have to be. Haven't tried it for poker, but I'm sure it would be fine.
