You are wrong. Diet coke is not meant to taste like coke classic. Coke zero is. Diet coke is based on the new coke taste, or more accurately, new coke is based on the diet coke taste. Citation:

OP: My favorite diet soda is Pepsi One since it uses Splenda. In my experience aspartame gives me a 'cloudy mind'. I don't really know how to describe it.
