I'm sure a lot of people would be interested but didn't follow the Primera Division thread.
Antonio Puerta, a 22 year old soccer player for Sevilla, died today in the Virgen del Rocio hospital.
During Sevilla's match last Saturday against Getafe he collapsed and started shaking. It was quite scary but he seemed ok after the doctors got to him, but looked dazed. He apparently had a heart attack then. When he had another in the locker room they sent him to the hospital. Apparently his heart stopped again and he was revived. He was at some point put on a ventilator and was in a coma. Yesterday they stated that he probably had brain damage and today he died.
He is a son of Sevilla FC. He was born and raised there and came up through the youth system. He scored the
most important goal in the history of the club, a goal in extra time of the semifinal of the UEFA Cup.
RIP Antonio
HASTA SIEMPRE, CAMPEON
