Default Thursday Night Clue Game Thread

Clue - Game Rules

***Unannounced AFKness will not be tolerated in Clue. Players must be attentive at all times in order for the game to move quickly. If you need to be AFK, you must post so in the thread so that cards and rolls can be skipped and/or randomly mod-shown. Non-verbalized AFKs will carry a 2 minute time limit, and lost turn/random show penalties will be administered at the host's discretion.***

The Suspects: Miss Scarlet, Colonel Mustard, Mrs. White,
Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock, Professor Plum

The Weapons: Knife, Candlestick, Revolver, Rope, Lead Pipe, Wrench

The Rooms: Hall, Lounge, Dining Room, Kitchen, Ball Room,
Conservatory, Billiard Room, Library, Study

Randomization

The game is played with anywhere between 3 and 6 players. At the start of the game, players will be randomized for order and then randomly placed in rooms.

After players are in place, one card from each group is randomly selected to be part of the "murder". The remaining cards will be randomly dealt out to the players as follows:

3 players - all players get 6 cards each
4 players - first 2 players get 5 cards each, last 2 players get 4 cards each
5 players - first 3 players get 4 cards each, last 2 players get 3 cards each
6 players - all players get 3 cards each

Movement

On your turn, you may move up or down one room (from where you currently are) on the following list:

Ball Room
Billiard Room
Conservatory
HALLWAY 1
Dining Room
Hall
Kitchen
HALLWAY 2
Library
Lounge
Study
HALLWAY 3

Example: If you are in the Hall, you may go to either the Dining Room or the Kitchen. If you are in the Study, you may go to either the Lounge or HALLWAY3.

**Unlike the original game, if someone suggests your character, you will NOT be moved into the room in question.**

Making A Suggestion

After you move into a room, you get to suggest a Person, Weapon, and that Room. Suggestions must be made in bold. The game host will then let you know which player (next in line according to game order) has a card to show you. If no one has a card to show, the game host will specify that as well.

All players have to be aware that a card is being shown; only the suggesting player gets knowledge of what that card is. If the game host mentions your name to show a card, please respond that you're showing before showing the card. It is important that the game moves at a reasonable pace.

Making An Accusation

When it is your turn, and you are able to move into a HALLWAY, you are allowed to make an Accusation; taking a stab at the exact Murderer, Weapon, and Room. YOU MUST MOVE INTO A HALLWAY IN ORDER TO MAKE AN ACCUSATION!

If you are correct in your Accusation, you WIN the game. If you are incorrect, you LOSE the game and are OUT....but still required to show cards if needed.

The game is over when either somebody makes a correct Accusation, or when there is only one player remaining.
