It would make sense if:
1) The wealthiest people knew what was going to happen based on the Fed's policies during the 1920's and therefore were able to cash out at the top and buy everything back very cheap in the 1930's

and

2) Knew that the incoming president was a socialist who not only would protect the Fed but also institute programs that would lay the foundation for the on-going erosion of the economic and political health of this couuntry.

And btw if you want to talk about a real anti-Fed guy, how about Charles Lindbergh Sr...
