i find the timing extra interesting because i noticed a new sign yesterday at the venetian tournament podium:
"HIGH STAKES NO LIMIT - 50/100 blinds, Saturdays at 3PM" (not an exact quote).
does this mean Gabe has gone back to the Bellagio for good, has he abandoned his Venetian game? Funny thing is I was going to start a post congratulate the Venetian for a good marketing strategy but this turn of events makes me go ?huh?

This sign is not that new, except it was $25/$50 blind with $100 ante on the button. It was there over a month ago when I visited Venetian (as noted in my trip report), and I inquired about the big game and they said it ran on days other than Saturday with bigger blinds. When I played no-limit there, Gabe Thaler appeared later in the afternoon.
