i understand where hes coming from. he likes to go out with his friends for some down time away from the spotlight but because of his celebrity status its very hard for him to have fun or relax so he chooses to socialise out of the public domain. either way i doubt it bothers too many people

It would bother you if you politely approached him and were flaked off like dandruff, which I get the very strong impression is exactly what he would do if in the presence of anyone he wanted to impress (Eric Lindgren, Phil Ivey Patrick Antonious). We all knew people like this in high school, Danny just hasn't grown up.

If you are going to socialize in the public domain and soak up all the D-list celebrity fringe benefits and adulation every self-important shitwad attention whore is obviously seeking when they go to the trendy places and so forth, you have no business feigning displeasure when indulged... not in the way he did anyway. Read the paragraph again, it sure sounds like to me he's trying to be the coolest cat who ever crept instead of humbly communicating from the heart how uncomfortable he is with overly friendly strangers.

THAT'S NOT COOL.

This is what happens when you don't actually leave the house and go out with friends. You lose touch with how creepy it is to have people you don't know sitting at your tables, drinking your booze, and hanging out with you and your friends. It's just weird and I'm baffled by anyone who doesn't understand why it would bother someone.

It's possible we are both reading more into what he said than we should be. As written I did not take it to mean he was referring to the type of encroachment anyone in their right social mind knows is not acceptable.. I took it to mean "his crew" is ultra-exclusive and completely out of bounds to every other upright ambulant in the room.

But then I'm biased, because I absolutely cannot stand the guy. Admittedly I'll find something obnoxious in everything he says with very little effort--which is more effort than he's really worth btw.
