Default Re: 400nl - Good Bluff?

So bad.

1. The PF raise sucks. I understand you couldn't raise bigger because it's PL, so just check your option. You're not raising for value and you're not folding out anything. Seriously, when was the last time you remember someone folding to such a raise after limping? Basically you're just inflating a pot OOP w/ ten high and now you feel as if you have to keep firing at it. Don't go throwing good money after bad.

If you feel the need to attack limpers in these situations then wait until the flop. Villain is essentially never folding to $10 more PF. Checking PF and potting any flop will get a fold much more often and you're only investing $7.60 more as oppossed to $10.

2. A bluff is only as good as an opponent(s) perceives it. Just because it looks like a good spot to you doesn't necessarily mean anything. How about posting some reads on villain as well. If you have none then how about not regularly throwing $300 blindly into pots.

Most people at this limit aren't value betting the river without a Q or a 5. You're never getting a Q to fold and 5 5 probably looks you up a decent amount of the time. I think PPs and A high are looking to see a showdown here most of the time. Even if they decide to turn their hand into a bluff, they're going to fold to a much smaller raise than your push.
