Default college memories: the snack draft

When we all had the munchies and were living/hanging out in the dorms, the vending machines down the hall were the best option for snacks. Payable by swiping the student ID cards which also had our food moneys on them, of course. Now we couldn't just let everybody get what they wanted, that wouldnt be any fun, so we instituted the "snack draft". Through some game of skill or chance, a draft order was decided upon. Then, in the order which we were designated, each of us had to choose an item in the snack machine to make their own. Once somebody chose that item, it was then off-limits to everyone else. The draft lasted for between 2 and 5 rounds, depending on how hungry everybody was. And there was much raucous heckling involved during decisions, of course.

If you're in the dorms and find yourself hungry with some friends, I suggest you implement the snack draft in your own life. Its pretty great. You could even do it in a convenience store or something, though there are probably too many items to choose from to make it as enjoyable.
