wow, so funny you should post this. same thing happened to me a week ago.
i was playing 20/40 at commerce and bruce had T8. my hand was KT on a board of 79JQ. with deep stacks he raised me on the turn and i said "flopped it?" so that when i shoved it makes my hand look weak. he then goes to show me his hand and i say "dont do that" knowing he was going to show me T8. i ended up shoving and he called and i felt like a complete dick, especially with my "flopped it" line and him being so generous as to try and save me several thousand.
he was so nice about it though
