Default Re: Fire Jack Effel Now!!!!

I was there during week#3 and I thought the WSOP staff was fine. Played several events and cash games. Thought that sign-up, TD's, floor people etc did fine.

Haven't analyzed the structures as some have done & there may be some room for improvement. However, as far as world class events go, the WSOP, and every other major poker tournament I have seen/participated in, WPT, WSOP, etc, is no where near world class level for a multi-day event, e.g., Olympics, Indy 500 month of May, any Formula One race week. It feels like WSOP wants to get there but doesn't know how.

The early logistical problems should not have happened.

The bigger issue for me is that HET is not treating WSOP/WSOP-C correctly within the context of its player loyalty program. My Rio Harrah's host says "not my department" when I asked him about WSOP pre-regis problems. I get zero comp credit for the casino juice out of buy-ins. WSOP comes off as a separate brand that just happens to be held at a HET property.

I don't know Mr Effel, but, if he truely listens to the consumers, he will be fine
